The Punta Umbría promenade hosts a children's bull run on the eve of "Las Colombinas de la Ilusión" (The Colombinas of Illusion).

The afternoon of Thursday, July 24th, was a moment of excitement and fun for the little ones with the children's bull run in Punta Umbría (Huelva) . The bull run took place in the coastal town's Plaza Pérez Pastor . The event was well attended and had a peaceful atmosphere. This bullfighting activity, inspired by the San Fermin festival , consists of races along the seafront promenade where children and adults accompany enormous inflatable bulls to the outskirts of the plaza.
During the races, the children experienced the adrenaline rush of real bull runs, and the entertainment continued with indoor bullfighting and bullfighting games. The cultural event was organized by the Toros La Merced Company , with a "clear future focus on the new generations of fans." The company, led by José Luis Pereda, gave away 200 tickets to participants in the bull runs.
This cultural event brought together many happy faces, both among the children and among the adults who were excitedly celebrating the event on the eve of "Las Colombinas de la Ilusión." Huelva-based journalist Javier García Baquero was in charge of conducting interviews with the participants and conducting various activities.
David Ramírez and Cristóbal de Lara also made an appearance at the bullfighting event. These two young bullfighters will shine in the ring at the 4th edition of Huelva es Torera: 'Objetivo La Merced' . A horseless bullfight will take place next Tuesday, July 29th, and will officially open the 2025 Colombinas Bullfighting Fair.
Everyone had a great time at this family-friendly bullfighting event. The Punta Umbría promenade was packed with children who gathered with excitement and joy to play with the bull.
